Baptisms/Christenings

Baptisms at St Mary & St Michael take place during our 10am Sunday services. If you live in the parish or regularly attend our church and would like your child (or yourself) to be baptised, come along to our 10am Sunday service and speak to a member of the clergy afterwards. A meeting will then be arranged in order to talk through the practicalities and to explore the purpose of baptism and what it means for you and your child.

For more information on christening (baptising) a child in the Church of England, see churchofenglandchristenings.org.

Funerals and Memorials

We are sorry that you have to make an enquiry about a funeral arrangement but we hope we can support you in whatever way possible. Funeral services can take place in the church followed by a burial or they can take place at the crematorium with interment of ashes in the churchyard if desired at a later date. For initial enquiries either contact your funeral director or the church office (01223 846096). Our clergy will then contact you to make the necessary arrangements. We can also consider the possibility of organising memorial and other occasional services here at St Mary & St Michael.

For more information on funerals in the Church of England, see churchofenglandfunerals.org
