Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the life and activities of our church.

Having you at our services is a great encouragement to everyone – meeting together, sharing our fellowship and supporting each other is an essential part of church life (24 And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10 v 24-25 NRSV).

As we seek to meet together, encourage one another and share the good news of God’s love with our neighbours, there are practical ways in which individuals can help out. Speak to us or contact us if you would like to become more involved in church life, or see our pages on giving and volunteering.

Become a member

By joining the parish electoral roll, you become a full member of the church, with the ability to vote on important decisions. The electoral roll is meant to reflect the number of people involved in our parish life so, if you are a regular member of the congregation, signing up helps this to be a true representation of our members.

Forms are available in church.

Please complete and sign the form then return it to our Electroll Roll Officer, Janet Hendy,The Bakehouse, 1a Grantchester Road, Trumpington, CB2 9LH.

Volunteering

There are many opportunities to volunteer for the church and we would love to hear from you if you are willing to give some of your time, skills or experience. There are some ideas of ways to volunteer below but if you see something else which you think you could help with, please do get in touch!

The church is signed up to the time credits scheme currently being used in Cambridge and nationally, please contact us if you would like to know more about earning credits for yourself or to give to friends.

Church and churchyard clear-up
We have a diligent cleaner for the church and the grass is mown regularly in the churchyard but twice a year in the spring and autumn we give the interior and the churchyard some extra TLC. The dates are announced in our weekly newsletter, the pew sheets, the website and on Facebook. If you would like to help on other occasions or you see a job that needs doing please contact the Churchwardens.
